*FIRST STATE RECORD*-Apparent adult of the 'Interior' race. Ammodramus sparrow popped up in the cattails a few yards off, it 'T'ed up and gave me a great long look. Gray on the cheeks, on the sides of the neck and on crown, along with buffy yellow breast identified it as a Nelson's. This was 1.8 miles east of the 4 way intersection of the west dike, near where the road on the south side of unit 1 meets the road that runs between the east entrance and the Bountiful Pond entrance.Photographed:
