Cell 3. Gray plumage, chunky body structure, large size (compared to peeps), and stout bills.

1 fresh juvenile in cell 3. Long, decurved bill. Long legs. Slender overall. Buffy wash on breast and buffy edging on wing coverts. Fed in deeper water than did the other shorebirds.
