USGS survey team of the South Dike trail with additions of birds as we returned via the north dike trail.

Seen on freshwater side of north dike trail near the entry to the estuary boardwalk trail. Seen roosting between two greater yellowlegs. About 1.5-2 inches larger than the GRYE. Clean white flanks. long dark bill slightly upturned - but not nearly as long as the GRYE bills. The bill was also thicker. Dark gray legs. Plan gray-brown mantle. Slightly dark cheek with lighter eye-line.

Seen on south dike trail flying over cattails from north to south. Clean white belly with clear brown bowtie. Flat pale-brown back. Smallest swallow.
