Seen on freshwater side of north dike trail near the entry to the estuary boardwalk trail. Seen roosting between two greater yellowlegs. About 1.5-2 inches larger than the GRYE. Clean white flanks. long dark bill slightly upturned - but not nearly as long as the GRYE bills. The bill was also thicker. Dark gray legs. Plan gray-brown mantle. Slightly dark cheek with lighter eye-line.
