big flock in Raymond

littering the dry shorelines of Raymond and Shearness

*uncommon, local migrant not often seen within Bombay Hook NWR -- viewed through scope from Shearness tower, out in short grass expanse in middle of impoundment -- brown shorebird, long legs and thin neck, long wings crossing over long tail, straight-ish bill -- stayed put while all other shorebirds flushed many times, before leaving on its own accord
