Comments:
Spotted Harrier and lots of other raptors. This morning my friend and I were shooting out at Castlereagh and saw at least one (if not two) Spotted Harriers, a Swamp Harrier, White-bellied Sea Eagle, two Brown Falcons (one tried to subdue a Red-bellied Black Snake), several Black-shouldered Kites and a pair of Nankeen Kestrels. A Whistling Kite was our first visitor and came in and swooped at fish within 20 meters as we lay on the ground in our ghillie suits. Later this afternoon I saw (possibly a third) a Spotted Harrier and another White-bellied Sea Eagle. I have managed one shot of the Spotted Harrier this evening from afar. Feel free to browse a selection of images from our session this morning here: http://amatteroflight.com/gallery2/v/large/PL30.09/ Site:Castlereagh. Observer:Ákos Lumnitzer and Stephen Davey
