Seen gleaning from bark high up in cottonwood next to boardwalk in a large mixed flock with western tanagers, black-throated grays, orange-crowned warblers, warbling vireos, yellow warblers, and townsend's warblers. Nuthatch-like with striking black and white plumage, black throat continuing to black streaking on belly. 90ish% percent certain.
