I found this bird about in the middle of the east-west section of the Seasonal Road in one of the woodpiles of cleared exotic shrubs. Identified by Song Sparrow-like "chuff" call notes. I only got a glimpse of it and did note the very tiny size and very stubby tail. I found it at about 7:00 AM, just before a long downpour put a halt to any birding for about 45 minutes. I was unable to relocate it after the rainstorm.

Three singing males! Both continuing birds along the Seasonal Road were singing at around 7:00 AM. One was just to the southwest of the corner where the Seasonal Road turns east-west and the other was far off to the north of the corner (I could barely hear it.) At around 1 PM, I found a third singing male near the end of the Taylor Trail at the southeast corner of the Marsh Loop. This wren is nearly 4 miles away from the other wrens and very unlikely to be one of the same birds. The Taylor Trail area doesn't look to be suitable breeding habitat and its likely this bird was a migrant. All three were singing the distinctive "tea-kettle tea-kettle tea-kettle" song.

Both continuing birds. The bird at the Headquarters feeders has now molted into adult plumage. (I'm assuming it's the same bird.) The 2nd bird is along the 2-way Road east of the Boy Scout Deck in a large flock of White-crowned Sparrows and still has immature plumage.
