Comments:
All along the shore of the harbor, the bay side of Doran Beach, and Bodega Head were covered. Large numbers of shorebirds: 100s if not thousands of Dunlins, Godwits and Western Sandpipers, and Buffleheads and Surf Scoters. And 100s of Yellow-rumped Warblers. Unusual numbers of Least Sandpipers, Common Loons and Black Phoebes. I was surprised to see White Pelicans, Elegant Terns and Heermann's Gulls still here. Mammals: Mule Deer, Black-tailed Jackrabbit, Harbor Seal and California Sea Lion.
