A bare minimum. Greg Miller and I later decided that we probably under-counted/under-estimated birds, but we've decided to stick with our on-the-spot count. The birds were strewn out in a vast raft extending from the northwest corner of the lake, all the way to the far eastern shore. They were clustered in pods of 20-30 (10+ such pods), plus a main throng of about 400-500, and then smaller groups pretty much everywhere else.
