Maine Audubon's Weekly Birdwalk | around 30°F throughout, snow predicted but none during the walk. Completely overcast and gray. Recent thaw exposed the river completely and a majority of the meadow.

**rare in winter | a very late bird calling (giving a harsh scolding 'chek' [jett?]) from the phragmites near the Big Sit spot. This is very close to the location of the bird here on 7 December 2013 but it seems hard to image the same bird has gone undetected for the past month.
