Found sitting with a Common Ground-dove in line of willows to south of observation pond, dull ruddy color, black bill, no scaling on breast and head, upon return to parking area saw that Richard Webster had seen presumably the same bird earlier in day, photo taken (left bird):

on far north end of large lake, probably a Red-necked in winter plumage - seemed to have black on side of face and on top of head as well but too far to be sure even under good conditions with 60X scope
