jaeger sp.

One adult/sub adult, dark, very pointed wings, obvious white wing flashes on the underwing and multiple white shafts seen on the primaries but hard to tell how many. Underbelly was pale but the rest of the bird looked dark. Bird was flying low over the water, direct and fast, strong wingbeats, flying further out on the lake, pursued gull for a couple seconds as the Jaeger flew up at the gull then continued flying out of sight, smaller than the gull (probably a Herring). Second Jaeger seen about an hour later further out, very dark, skinny pointed wings, white wing flashes briefly seen as it banked and then continued further out intermittently diving toward the water and rising up again. I'm confident these were both Jaegers but can't identify them to species.
