HEARD ONLY. I heard a vireo calling from across a canal and recorded it. My first impression was a Yellow-throated Vireo, but I waved it off knowing it was rare in the area. I just got to editing the last of my photos from the trip and just recently sent my recording in to the "Bird Identification Help Group" on Flickr to have the experts weigh in. All agreed on Yellow-throated Vireo.

I would have tried to get a visual on the bird, but I couldn't cross the canal and a getting a look at the bird might have been near impossible. Here's a link to the recording: http://www.flickr.com/photos/87418551@N02/10788398156/

I also have one other recording if needed.
