Part of 2013 International Migratory Bird Day Count.
Birded around the two big ponds and the overlook.
Coyote 1 - It was stalking waterfowl until it saw me.
Porcupine 1 - I surprised it on the ground and it scrambled up a small tree.

Snow Goose

Large mostly white goose still with extensive gray plumage on the body and neck. "Grinning patch" visible on beak at close range. Black primaries were visible when the goose flew.

A bit far north, particularly for this time of year. Identifiable as a gnatcatcher by shape and behavior, but I could not make out any field marks looking in to the Sun. Identified by voice: distinctive harsh, hissing "chur chur chur chur" calls, unlike the calls made by Blue-grays.
