I was very surprised to see a WESJ fly from the main cottonwood patch down stream to the lone cottonwood. Unfortunately, subspecies unknown.

Seen poorly through cattails from above. But the face and sides of neck were totally visible. Sides of neck were clean grey wrapping almost around to the nape. Bold post-orbital stripe and rest of facial features indicated swamp sparrow.
