Seen feeding in grassy field along a flooded section. Small shorebird (but not as small as a peep) with thin neck and small head. Conspicuous black eye and pale-ish face with some dark markings on the top of head. Face had dove-like appearance. Black medium sized bill. Pale buffish neck, clean belly. Black scaling on back. Yellow legs. Excellent looks from close range.
