Identified by sight and call notes by Charlie Wright on Nisqually Estuary Boardwalk Trail around the McAllister Creek Observation Platform.

Two dove like murrelet paired and dive feeding seen in deep water from boat beyond pilings. Dark and light brown marbled plumage. Second pair had white tips to secondaries consistent with immature birds.

Heard and seen at southwest observation platform on Twin Barns Loop Trail. Distinctive towhee sized bird with upright flycatcher posture. Black head, back, breast, and topside of tail. Vocalization identified by Charlie Wright.
