kek-kek-kek calls expressing displeasure at our presence. Molt to definitive adult plumage underway on lower scaps, lower back , tertials and perhaps inner flight feathers, as well as on wing coverts.

beautiful SY male continued in eucs near abandoned hotel. Black upperparts (hooded with black, black wing panel with orange shoulder patch and white lower wing bar) uppertail surface black; middle of back orange, underparts mostly orange most intense immediately below black cowl, orange pales slightly in mid region of underparts. Blackish flight feathers appear duller than shiny black on upperparts and wing coverts suggesting age is SY.
