Hammond's Flycatcher

Historic Record - bob Wallace and left Gainesville after recieving a call from Jill Gazattee. We arrived at the Privot Trail around 2PM where we were met by Lyn Atherton and Jean Turner. We had the bird within 5 minutes. Here are my notes: The bill was very small . It was dark above and had some dark on the lower mandible. the color of the base of the lower mandible was flesh color. The head was gray which contrasted with the green back.It had two very slightly buffy wingbars. The underparts were yellow with a grey vested look.the eyering had a rear tear drop look. There was some white in the lores. Bob and Lyn heard it call correctly.
