An enigmatic blackish forest weaver with yellow legs and pale eyes. Male has a greenish gloss that the female lacks. Juvenile is paler, with a yellowish collar. Very poorly known and restricted to the canopy of lowland primary forest in the Ituri region of northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo. It’s possible that this species is a hybrid, but the yellow legs are unlike those of any dark forest weaver. The voice is unknown.
