Large bird of prey usually found in open and semiopen areas. Often forages on the ground and is an opportunistic hunter and scavenger. Note the black cap, red face, and dark brown-and-white body with a barred breast and barred underwings. In flight, shows well-fingered wingtips and a protruding head.
