Small olive-yellow warbler-like bird, restricted to a handful of islands in the New Georgia Group, in the west-central Solomon Islands. Formerly lumped with Dark-eyed White-eye; note present species’ bright white eye-ring and yellow belly. A social bird, often moving in single-species as well as mixed-species flocks. Song is a bright, chirpy, up-and-down series of notes; calls include unremarkable descending “djew!” , as well as cheeping and chirping notes.
