Slender, dull brownish starling with a short tail; lacks any iridescence in the plumage. Endemic to Pohnpei, in the East Caroline Islands. Restricted to montane forests in the center of the island, though appears to have declined dramatically in recent decades, and may now be extinct. Historically known to have foraged in bushes and on the ground, often in pairs. Reportedly gives a ringing, high-pitched shriek.
