Small, olive flycatcher. Brighter yellowish than other flycatchers with two buffy wingbars. Eyering is bold and comes to a point behind the eye. Found in woodlands. Feeds on insects by sallying out to snatch them in flight. Occassionally nests under the eaves of buildings. Nearly identical to Cordilleran Flycatcher from which it is best separated by range.
