Small, plump bird of open habitats, especially near water. Found along rivers and forest edges, but is now also common around clearings made by humans. Light tan with reddish brown wings and tail, light pink legs, and a strong white eyebrow. Walks on the ground and along branches. Listen for a long, descending series of explosive “pee” notes.
