Immatures are brownish, with black-tipped pink bills. Known as Common Gull in Europe. Variable across extensive range, sometimes considered multiple species. North American birds known as Mew Gull, Eurasian birds as Common Gull. Breeds in wetlands, meadows, and along rivers.
