A crow that varies in size across its range, but is generally larger than the House Crow with a relatively long, daggerlike bill that is curved on the top. Entirely black with a variable amount of glossiness. They are primarily scavengers that feed on carrion, leftover food from humans, and also steal food from other birds. Often gangs up to attack and chase other birds, especially raptors. They occur in wide range of habitat including woodlands, urban landscapes, agricultural fields, and open scrub forests. Their call is more raucous and harsher than the House Crow.
