Smaller than Rock Pigeon. Body is uniformly chalky-beige. Black crescent on nape. Paler overall with a square-tipped tail. Favors farms and suburbs; avoids areas with extensive forests. Introduced from Eurasia to the Bahamas, from where it spread rapidly across southern and western North America in last decade.
