Intricately-patterned partridge; uncommon and declining throughout its range. Brown above with a rusty bib and a stippled black, white, and orange head pattern. Forages in small flocks on the floor of lowland and foothill primary and secondary forests. Gives loud, tremulous, ascending whistles.
