Identification
Entirely gray seabird; small and chunky. Bill is stout and pointy with a slight upturn and a pale base. Eye is pale. Sexes are similar, juveniles are slightly paler than adults but with darker eye. Breeds in colonies on islands; otherwise found on the ocean, often in flocks.
