A gray-brown, medium-sized vulture. Note the dark, narrow face and the long skinny neck. In flight, note the contrast between the dark flight feathers and the dusky, lightly streaked underwings and underparts. The white thighs are visible in flight and when perched. Similar to Indian Vulture, but the Slender-billed Vulture has a dark bill, large and conspicuous ear holes, and a relatively scrawny look. Associates with other vultures around carcasses and forms colonial roosts in trees.
