    Comments: MTH had this bird pegged at the petting zoo perched on a wire since 0615h. It had been "peep"ing repeatedly. JCW had one in the same place yesterday, also "peep"ing. The bird was more olive above than the typical "Western" and a bit more yellow at the center of the belly than a typical "Western". The basal one-third of the lower mandible was pale. None of us recall a WWPE peeping like this bird. No song. The head appeared round-headed with a crest. A very calm bird.
