eBird’s regular update to the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) added more than 200 million records, bringing the total number of records available across GBIF to over 1.3 billion. eBird is the largest dataset in GBIF, and the world’s largest biodiversity-related citizen science project.  Providing eBird data access through GBIF ensures that more people have free access to eBird records: there have been 72,000 direct downloads of eBird data through GBIF to date. Thanks to GBIF for providing such a great service for the global biodiversity community. As always, you can also download eBird data directly from eBird.org. Read more and see more growth stats here.
