Exploration. One of the best parts of birding is where it takes you. The Alabama Ornithological Society (AOS) took this passion for exploration and challenged eBirders in their state to get out on the road, go to new places, and cover the counties in the state that had little-to-no eBirding. Whether it’s finding rarities or filling in bar charts, submitting complete eBird checklists in these coverage gaps can reveal valuable new information about bird populations.
