Details: Saw two birds perched initially on separate telephone poles between Town Farm Rd and Shady Ln. One had a likely Rock Dove in its right talon, most evident when flying. I did not have binoculars and assumed from a distance that they were Red-tailed Hawks. The bird with the pigeon caught my attention first as it left from an unseen perch and flew one pole west of the other bird which I then saw. The closer bird allowed me to get reasonably close as I continued my intended walk. That was when I saw the black helmet well with black partial chin strap. It flew north and circled back just beyond the second bird with the pigeon. I got close enough to the second to get a good look at its head and face. Then both birds flew off toward the northwest across the field toward the woods. I did not bother to see where they landed.
