POWERED BY MERLIN

Tiny, disproportionately long-tailed, active, and vocal. Its overall brown-gray plumage is far less striking than its long, boldly-tipped tail. Hops in undergrowth and sparse vegetation. Resident throughout its range. Very vocal, especially in spring. Males often sing from obvious perches. Found in field margins, open scrub, gardens, and wetlands; can be quite numerous.
