Acadia Birding Festival Frenchboro field trip produced a record Blue-winged Warbler (Vermivora cyanoptera ) first for Acadia Birding Festival and Frenchboro. Timing is everything with vagrant warblers and this one fortunately was BUZZZZZING when we made our turn for the Frenchboro Preserve trail head. I stopped as soon as I heard it and started to round the road for a better look and Brendon yells out "Blue-wined Warbler"... and the cameras were churning out one of the best documented Blue-winged Warblers in Maine. We also found Winter Wren which everyone had an opportunity to see and hear. One Norway Maple was loaded with Indigo Bunting, Rose-breasted Grosbeak and Cedar Waxwings.
