Queens County Bird Club "Big Sit."
Only observer for entire period (except for a twenty-minute break). About ten other birders were there for portions of the time.
Winds started out of the north and shifted to the northeast until shortly before mid-day when they died down. Then they were out of the southeast, the south, and the southwest. Sunny skies all day long.

    Details: Spotted near path at base of platform by Eric Miller. Barely managed to get on it from the platform. Later, saw and photographed it along the path.

    Details: Mostly heading westbound though also did a stationary count of the birds in the general vicinity. Undoubtedly there were many more present but wasn't sure how to avoid double-counting the birds foraging in the area.
