boat trip out of Freeport, NY on the Captain Lou with See Life Paulagics; trip led by Paul Guris with Richard Veit, Angus Wilson, Doug Gochfeld, and Tom Johnson co-leading; very cold, 15-20 F with northwest wind increasing in the afternoon, seas 2-4 feet inshore, 4-6 feet offshore. Birds on this checklist are only those recorded once the boat was well clear of the inlet. The map point for this checklist is plotted near the outermost point of our travels which corresponded to a high concentration of alcids, primarily Common Murres.
