Details: Tight flock of peeps seen first on mudflats of Livingston Reservoir, then in flight with all white rumps. I have thought back to my sighting, consulted a few field guides and compared those to my recollection, and I've concluded that I am confident in what I reported. I have a lot of experience with Wilson's Phalaropes, and these birds were definitely not phalaropes. They were significantly smaller, about peep-sized, and they were not as long-legged as phalaropes. I know of no other North American shorebird species of that size and composition with all-white rumps, which these birds most certainly had.
