Parked at Chemin Fraser and walked to Baie Simard. Counts are one-way counts; I didn’t add to my species’ number-of on my walk back, as to avoid double-counting.

    Details: 0707 hrs; close to river edge near barricades off of Lamoureux. Classic burry immediate variety song sequence, “three eight” “hee-er.” Was making its way east, high in canopy. At 0938 hrs, I re-found the bird closer to Chemin Fraser, singing from mature oak scrub slightly N of the swamp, heard from the small pathway close to Fraser.

    Details: 0546 hrs. Singing non stop from west edge of small duck pond along mud path, halfway between dead end of Lamoureux and Ch Fraser. Unable to pish into view.

    Details: 0932 hrs. Singing continually from east end of duck pond, along the small sewage creek. Approx 80 meters west of the dead end of Lamoureux. 0936 hrs, about 50 meters to the NW, while other bird is still present. Excellent scrubby riparian ripe to this species’ liking.
