    Details: Saw one adult on a nest and later when the adult left the nest momentarily, I could see the inner cup lined with goose down. I saw a second adult on a nest about a quarter mile down the trail.

    Details: Solid black (or very dark brown) colored duck. Even its bill, tail, and feet were black. It was mallard sized or smaller, and had a sleek and slender build. Maybe it is a domesticated mallard that was bred with certain plumage (?).

    Details: Based on help from iNaturalist, this bird was identified as a Least Sandpiper. I see it matches because of its decurved bill and yellow legs, and the size seems to match the description.
