Number observed: 1
Details: At feeder adjacent to my back yard. Got a really good look with binoculars. Pink bill, clean grayish white chest and belly, and light brown streaks down the length of the crown, marking it as an immature. The spacing of the crown streaks eliminated every sparrow except the Whitethroat or maybe the Song. I further distinguished it from a Whitethroat or Song by the unmarked throat and belly, and by the pink bill. A species I'd been looking for for a while just popped up at my doorstep, in a pretty-unlikely time of the year.
