    Details: Continuing individual, first observed in December 2019 at the Morro Harbor Mouth. --- Dark brown cheek patch, an all dark bill and no scapulars. --- Different from the one observed today, as well in the Morro Bay Harbor (by the floating dock off Coleman Beach), which has a light brown cheek patch; pink bill with dark base and dark tip and obvious whitish scapulars draped over the black folded wings. (see separate ebird checklist for "Morro Bay Harbor" hot spot.)

    Details: Sharp demarcation from the dark hind neck and the white fore neck; barring on the back; holds bill horizontally. ( Red-throated Loon has a speckled back and usually holds its bill pointed above horizontal.)
