    Details: Very small shorebird hidden in muck along shoreline. Tan upper parts with mostly white belly with mild streaking. Long black beak sloping downward at very tip.

    Details: Shown next to juvenile Herring Gull for comparison. Large gull with black wings and white body. Red dot on bottom bill.

    Details: Burst from grasses near pier and flew overhead, along the pier and disappeared heading north over the lake.

    Details: Corrected by Andrew Aldrich. These are immature Chipping Sparrows, NOT Clay-colored Sparrows as originally thought. Gray unstreaked breast. Yellow supercilium, brown crown stripe with black flecks. Dark eyeline and throat stripes frame a buffy cheek. Noted ID tip: Black eyeline extends all the way to the bill.
