Bright and clear, chilly (upper 30s), light west winds. I checked the beach, Dunes, Peripheral plantings, and Magic Hedge area. Increasing numbers of Juncos and Hermit Thrushes from the past few days. Also, 1 Monarch.

    Details: Both birds flying in off Lake Michigan early in the morning. One bird attacked by the 2 Peregrine Falcons.

    Details: Catharus thrush with even brown upperparts, no rufous anywhere in the plumage, gray face, and no eye ring, producing beady eyed effect.
