Details: Around 9 am, we heard a bird vocalizing near the blind with a short trill-like call. It vocalized multiple times - we checked the Merlin app, and the trill matched the 'song' listed for Tropical Kingbird under the 'Sounds' button. We were then able to see the Tropical Kingbird in a 20-25' conifer just west of the blind. It was perched a few feet below the top of the tree along with several house finches. We tried to take a photo, but it took flight shortly after we found it, and appeared to be chased by a house finch. Unfortunately, we could not see where it landed and tried for 15 minutes to relocate it without success.
