Comments: Continuing juvenile gull first found by Walt Chambers earlier today. Observation point was from the shoreline of the first parking area on the shoreline of the lake west of the superstructure of the dam at coordinates 32.926410, -85.195692, the gull was always 1 to 2 plus miles across the lake out to the NNE to NE. Screen captures of handheld phonescoped video frames shot of the bird 1.3 miles out flapping on the water during preening at 75x optical with additional full iPhone digital zoom, or maybe 375x 80% digital equivalent. Flight shots at about 1.7 miles with a bit different seeing conditions. Scope required if the bird is not close.
