    Details: This 1 bird at the ayyanar koil trailhead had a distinct blackish beak and very short tail.. could not conclusively determine type of parrot or parakeet..could have been an immature specimen

    Details: These had prominent crests unlike Red vented bulbuls. However the red in the whisker was conspicuously absent..they were present at the entrance to the ayyanar koil trailhead. Also the vent was an orangish-yellow suggesting they could be either immature red whiskered or Himalayan bulbuls. No other bird matches the features and behaviour
