Number observed: 8
Details: I saw eight Tundra Swans flying directly over my house at 7:40am. The swans were flying from the south and heading north. There was a lead swan with the flock. The swans were large heavy bodied with long necks and were overall very pale whitish-gray in color (from what I could see from the underside while in flight). Their calls were a softer, more high-pitched call than the more strident honking call of a Canada Goose. I'm familiar with this species as I see them in the Central Valley wetlands during the winter.
